Company Sponsorship

Access to Outstanding Research, Intellectual Property, and a Highly-Trained Work Force

Industrial Sponsorship is granted in one-year intervals and entitles the company to a seat on the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB). Sponsorship gives access to multidisciplinary faculty experts in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, communications, and a variety of subdisciplines. RECUV students are actively engaged in research projects and are excellent candidates for future employees; collaborative projects often lead to joint funding opportunities. Sponsorship can be obtained at two levels of contribution:*

  • 1. A Full Sponsoring Member holds a full vote on the IAB and has early access to intellectual property from RECUV research. Full members pay a fee of $20,000 per year.
  • 2. An Associate Sponsoring Member participates in the IAB but it is not entitled to vote. Associate Member pays a fee of $10,000.

The IAB meets at least annually to review RECUV programs and the budgeting of Sponsor-contributed funds. IAB participation ensures that all Sponsors keep abreast of Center-related activities. The Vote for Full Sponsoring Members ensures collective guidance and direction to RECUV leadership.

Industry members have primary access to relevant RECUV research information, RECUV students for employment opportunities, research project status reports, and relevant RECUV data. They are invited to use RECUV laboratory space and resources within designated boundaries.

RECUV recognizes IAB Members on relevant publications and the annual RECUV report. Invitation to attend the annual RECUV Open House and Symposium are extended to all current and prospective members.

* In some special circumstances equipment or other in-kind contributions are accepted as part of the total sponsorship payment to RECUV.
